Abby’s fascination with beauty began at a young age—she was always dreaming up businesses and looking for things to invent. From mixing lotions and potions at her grandmother’s vanity to selling her Cinderella watch for bubble gum (yes, really!), her curiosity was endless. She had big ideas, from cup holders at every movie theater seat to a sponge headrest at the salon.
Over her 30 year career, she has built and developed brands in media, beauty, fragrance and lifestyle. It’s been a wild ride filled with pivots and reinventions. Her latest venture, Scentinvent™ Technologies, is transforming the way consumers experience fragrance. As a lifelong fragrance lover, she recognized the biggest problem in the fragrance category…it just does not last. So, she set out to invent a “Hero,” product that could be the solution. Linger ® Fragrance Primer, the first fragrance primer to make any fragrance last longer. The product debuted on HSN to a sellout success. Click to see the experiment on You Tube.
Additionally, Sparti Scents® a fun, playful, and portable fragrance collection launched in a featured program into 1,800 Walmart stores nationwide. The brand’s success led to an exciting licensing partnership with Scent Beauty and a global expansion with Amazon. The products included the “Original,” fragrance stick with skin care ingredients from Scentinvent Technologies.
Before Scentinvent™, she worked behind the scenes in media and entertainment. She landed her dream job as a live event producer at Showtime Networks, then moved to Hollywood as an Executive Producer for Nederlander TV & Film. After having her children—she shares her best production ever, she launched Beautiful Stranger.tv, one of the first digital media brands connecting content to commerce in short form video content. As one of YouTube’s first partners, they revolutionized the way people discovered and shopped for trends.
But it all started at a boutique PR firm with major clients like Procter & Gamble, Oil of Olay, and Cal Que Fleurs Fragrance, which she launched at Bergdorf Goodman in her very first job. It’s come full circle— back to the dream she had as a little girl at her grandmother’s vanity. And now, that dream is her reality.
